I don't always include our indirect production costs (burden rate). With some products, I feel like we might have to make that up on our other products. Other products being things we sell other than direct-to-substrate printing. direct-to-substrate printers are too expensive for most sign...
If they must be digitally printed, give us a call or an email (ask for Scott). We'd love the work. We print direct to substrate and we've got competitive reseller pricing available.

I observed two pricing practices at the previous sign company that I worked for (in the 90's).
1st:
Some people were just using the "sign pricing guide". There was a little "Sign Pricing Guide" book that gave you sq/ft prices for just about every type of sign. Now I believe it is available...
I asked this question to our corrugated plastic manufacturer. They said to run the flutes vertically. They said that is preferred so that condensation drips out of the sign. Otherwise (in a damp environment) you could end up with dark horizontal streaks where mold has grown or dirty water is...
We've got these, but they were mentioned earlier.
You can find cast aluminum post like these, but the cost is very high.
You might search the web for "post and panel sign system". if you don't need lots of ornamentation, but you do want a more finished look. You'll find solutions by Howard...
We've got something similar (and for the same price), but you don't have to rivet the sign onto the legs... HERE
Its more like the "platinum standard". Ha

Shadowglen,
Your design doesn't provide the name of the towing company and it doesn't provide their phone number. In our area, you've got to use 1.5" letters (minimum) and you've got to list the towing company and their phone number to legally have a car towed. It is kind of a double standard...
Also, we offer trade discounts on many items and we've got some basic OSHA safety sign templates here...

We have reseller pricing on Signicades and a number of sidewalk sign stands. We also offer reseller pricing on printed coroplast sign faces.

I can think of two advantages to a vertical trimmer. tell me if I am wrong.
1. gravity pulls the material against the bottom rail and works like a clamp to get the material square to the vertical rail before clamping it in.
2. I would think that a typical human would have a longer reach when...
We need a vertical trimmer to cut corrugated plastic. I don't want a panel saw because of the mess and noise plus I'm not cutting tougher materials like wood.
I've ruled out electric assist trimmers because they are too expensive.
We need a vertical trimmer so that we can save shop space (vs...
You're right. These are counted over-seas. We get about 10,000 bags of 500pcs. We're not going to rip every bag open and check them for accuracy. Luckily, our supplier has a well-calibrated counting scale as we've had zero complaints about inaccurate quantities (knock on wood).

I can't say anything bad about Stimpson, except that they are expensive. They sell for around $200 (for model #405). Here is one for $85 and I feel like it does the job equally as well...

I wonder if the fading issue is JUST in the Ion. The CAT-UV uses Cationic inks that are different than what the Ion uses.. Nobody in this thread has said anything negative about the CAT-UV fading early, so I'll assume that the issued (for those that have it) is only on the Gerber-Ion and not...
I can't comment on the Ion, because we never owned one.
The speed and resolution on the CAT-UV are fine (1058 x 720 dpi at 14 picoliter). I know that they increased the resolution when going from the ION to the CAT-UV.
As for speed, it can print a 4x8 in 6 minutes on the lowest quality. Yea...
