The HP drops either a 15 pl drop or a 30 pl drop depending on print mode. grayscale heads like the Rastek drops from 6 to 42 pl saving $$ on ink and achieving top quality.

Is it for sure 100% a material problem we have been purchasing through Laird for quite sometime printing on my FB950, and have not had any issues. I clean with alcohol and lint free cloth's.

Sorry to hear about your support from HP. They have been great on my FB950. The reviews from the CET seem solid, and they are located in Atlanta, so not to far for you to take a trip to see them. Mimaki JFX, nice printer slow though even Mimaki will tell you it's not a productivity printer...

If HP does show this fall, don't count on availability immediately. We have all seen initial shipment dates be limited for one and almost always pushed out 60-90 days. My thoughts: Wider/Faster to compete with the Seiko's of the world.

I'm pretty sure that HP has them in stock. I just ordered some for my ColorSpan 72 UVX. I beleive they are the same part CH104-67001? Bought through North Light Color.

Wow lots of techy rips on the FB500, weird they have an average of an 8 week lead time. Two questions for you. 1. Which product do you specifically recommend 2. When did HP incorporate the OMAS into the FB product line. I am pretty sure that is the Latex you are thinking about.

While I don't own the FB500, I do own the FB950 and have demo'd the FB500 at the Alpharetta demo facility. My take is the FB500 seems to have a higher quality image, similar heads as the 950, but slightly modified. The print mode names have changed which I believe makes it a little easier...
