We print 256. Strange thing is that I just placed an ink order yesterday and was informed that the white ink part number has changed. I hope that they did not re-formulate the ink as our second surface back lit panels on acrylic are mind blowingly beautiful.
One other thing to consider...
Are you doing a flood fill or a spot for the white? Just making sure that the files are setup properly. I have printed a fair number of day/night acrylic panels in the last month and have not noticed any issues on my 550XT. How old is the bag of white in your machine? Could it be outdated...
I am not certain on this, but Octanorm may have an extrusion like that. Their catalog is huge and I am only mildly familiar with it.

LexJet carries a full line of Mounting Adhesives (or print mount as I have always called it.) They carry economy types all the way up to optically clear for face mounting graphics to clear substrates in various widths. I am not sure what your definition of expensive is, but there were quite a...
We chose Oce (550XT) over Agfa & Vutek and have had zero regrets. I am not sure how different the Fuji is, but a file is set up on the machine to print rulers directly on the bed of the Arizona. Using calipers becomes somewhat second nature. The first couple of weeks every board was mic'd. Now...
General Formulations makes a product called GraphTex that is very similar to Photo-Tex. It has a little bit more of a gloss finish than Photo-Tex and is a bit cheaper from my experience. Both print nice on my Arizona.
I wish it were as easy as just hiring him full time to be my press operator/production guy. We are a non-union shop that uses some union labor from a local union which he is a member of. Unfortunately today he sealed his own fate with concerns to his chance of being a part of my team. I am not...
In all honesty, no ill intentions were meant by that. It is really tough to convey the working relation I have had with this guy. He is definitely someone that I can trust to get the job done correctly as we are currently operating. But on the other hand, not being an actual employee, I don't...
This is probably in the wrong forum, but I would mainly like to hear from other flatbed owners.
First a little history...
We recently purchased our first flatbed and it is getting installed in a couple of weeks. Prior to this we have done everything R2R and all of our signage has been...
I think that you are right about the qs printing faster, but I seem to think that being able to prep and load a 4x8 while another is printing on the 550 xt would bring the numbers a little closer together. A colleague has the 550 xt and said that they realistically get about 300 sq.ft/hr on it...
Thanks for all of the replies and input. We are closer to making our final decision and have added another printer that we are giving serious consideration.
Now looking at the Arizona 550 XT as well. Both seem to have their pluses and minus'. The idea of a dedicated "true" flatbed is...
Hello all! This is my first post on the forums but I have lurked a time or two in the past. We are lining up to purchase a QS2000 to replace our outdated 7yr old roll to roll aqueous printers. I am curious to hear from any end users that may have experience with QS printers that would...
