Thank you all. On the install - do you recommend a wet install or dry. I have done both but usually do wet on vehicles to help with bubbles but not sure with all the rivets if that will help or hinder the process.
Doing quite a bit of cut vinyl lettering and graphics on a trailer.
Intending to use oracal 751.
What is your go to transfer tape for this?
I have used various tapes in the past for various projects but have never really settled on one.
Would love some advice from those that have installed a...
Thanks. The issue is not as much as the vinyl not being put in straight but sometimes the back edge is not a straight cut. So when it feeds all the way to the back edge it sometimes falls off one side and starts chewing the sheet.
If it would feed it to a few inches from the back that would be...
If you use flexisign it has built in art approval feature that e-mails the art to your client and has them sign off on it. Nothing fancy but can get the job done
I have a D140
When I take a printed and cut sheet off my latex printer and place it in the cutter it loads the substrate as normal. It always goes right to the back end of the sheet no matter what size the sheet is.. Sometimes if the sheet is not fully straight it will lose an edge and the sheet...
Rough idea of where you would all be at on this. Printed materials 3 sides 5 x 8 trailer.
Just ballparks. I know there are a lot of factors - materials, time etc but a range will suffice
Thanks in advance
Thanks to everyone that answered.
I have used 751 in the past for general lettering etc and used it quite often for simple color graphics on the Eco solvent so thought it might work on the latex.
Little more of a learning curve with the latex.
What are your go to vinyls for latex
1. Temp...
Anyone printing on 751c with latex?
Trying to print with latex 115 on some calendered vinyl before trying cat 751c.
Having problems when curling of the substrate?
How low can I put the curing temp? Can I adjust dryong time?
Any suggestions would be grwat. Had no issues with my 1324 on almost...
Using the basic generic vinly setting and a bubble free 2 mil generic grey backed vinyl
Not sure if this keeps.
Seems more labor intensive than my 1324
Got my new printer yesterday. Heavy beast compared to my 1324
Have setup and first few errors i successfully printed some test runs.
Quality was good if a little slow with the curing etc.
However when I removed the substrate the vinly started to roll itself up from the edges (not the wound...
Thanks
I found that I didn't want the HP basic cutter that comes with the 115. It is basically the FX model and has limited media widths (won't take a 15" roll for example as the rollers stop at 11 and 16 so we lose material). The 315 comes with the HP latex cutter which I believe is the D140...
Thanks
I am purchasing a HP latex 115 and summa D-140. Will the D-140 read the barcodes from the 115? Seems like it will but your comment above might suggest otherwise. Any advice before I pull the trigger would be great
So i know the FX model is a cut down model with only 3 rollers instead of 4 and with it limited vinyl widths
Is the D140RL and D140 the same? If not - what are the differences?
Any advice would be appreciated
According to my independent research these models are re branded as HP for the HP...
