  1. Printing on Canvas

Absolutely what? Nonsense. While the gamut of an aqueous printer might have a slight edge, it's ridiculous to say that canvas prints from a solvent printer "suck". I've done a number of prints with fantastic results. Just did a sunflower which is stunning.

  4. Printing on Canvas

Thanks bob. I'll have to do some experimenting. How long does it take to cure before attempting cutting?
  5. Printing on Canvas

Just did four 20" x 30" canvas prints. Interesting stuff to work with, as in nice and easy. I can see that the quart will go a long way. What might be some other uses for this liquid laminate? Occasionally I'll have a Print-Lam-Cut decal job which has enough fine detail to it that trying to...
  6. Another realtor story.

Nope. It was such a small job, I let it slide, not thinking that their integrity was only worth $30.00
  7. Another realtor story.

About 7 weeks ago I was called by a realtor’s office and asked to produce a couple of decals for a particular strata. They are digitally printed using particular colors on removable vinyl, to go on 2 signs they have on site, simply denoting the real estate company logo, realtor & phone number...
  8. Printing on Canvas

Which in my mind makes the roller a better option....correct?
  9. Printing on Canvas

Thanks for this tip. Just got a quart, but boy it's expensive....$55.00 for a quart!!! What is this....liquid gold? bob, You mentioned thinning it, but it says to use it straight up. Why did you thin it? It also instructs to use a foam roller; wouldn't that be better than a foam brush?

  11. forgot how crummy this logo looked

I sense there was a committee involved.
  12. Shop Lighting

I recently replaced all of the lights in my shop. The old ballasts were magnetic type (noisy), and at first, while they did sell me "electronic" ballasts, they turned out to be ones that were going to obsolete this summer (T12). They also supplied me with 6500K bulbs which were also new, but...
  13. Bold, Italic Serif

Yes, that looks like it - thanks. I wonder what's up with that s. Forgot to mention that the sample image has some distortion to it; taken from an angle. Not sure why customers find it impossible to take a photo straight-on.
  14. Bold, Italic Serif

    Any ideas on this one?
  15. Old software

I think I still have my old DOS Casmate floppies kicking around somewhere in the basement.
  16. Corel x6 Sneak Peak

I have the most violent cold right now, and must sound awful on the phone; maybe the nice gal I spoke with had some empathy.
  17. Corel x6 Sneak Peak

Just ordered it. I mentioned that I had just bought X5 last summer, so she gave me 20% off, making it $159.20 I like to have a disc, so it'll be shipping on the 27th.
  18. Corel x6 Sneak Peak

I just my first pop-up window informing me of X6. I bought a new X5 mid-May 2011, should I even attempt getting a break on the update? Any issues with Versaworks?
  19. Bevel not printing right

But there's absolutely nothing that would be intuitive to anyone about the bevel effect not printing properly.
  20. Bevel not printing right
