Thanks guys, except for Canuck. We know the technical differences but I sometime feel the calendar is more appropriate for what we do (wall graphics) even though the cast is technically more aggressive. It's a crapshoot sometime applying on painted walls, especially dark colors.
  2. Cast vinyl and Calendar vinyl differences....

So... My understanding was the cast vinyl has stronger adhesive than calendar vinyl. But someone told me it's about the "removability". He was saying that the cast vinyls come off clean within the suggested length (~9 or 10 years). And calendar is shorter. The difference is not about the...

We printed 20' x 13' wall mural on UltraFlex Fabritac with Epson eco-sol S40. 3 tiles. It was a simple map image in white on a light brown background color. When we installed, we realized the left side of print is much darker (more cyan) than the right side and the seams between the tiles...

Hi All. We have two Graphtecs, FC8600 and FC8000, and we have been using Cutting Master as long as we are in business (6 humble years). I knew there are softwares like Flexi existed but didn't even think about giving it a shot since there is a free Cutting Master and it's doing just fine. Do...

Thanks for the reply! My original post was misleading. My apology. We do have the javelin and is a good equipment but we can't quite master cutting long prints with with. The sales person told me that it can cut a long banner well by cutting it little by little. We tried it but it's too...

  13. Cutting long strips. Any tips?

Hello there. I want to pick your brain for something seemingly easy but hard (for us). We often cut long strips of SAV prints, like 20' long. We used to use just straight up safety ruler and a knife, but we made mistakes more often than we should, and started looking for an alternative. We...

MacTac makes bubble free films. It's called B-Free (duh). Though it's not as easy as advertised to be, it did go sort of bubble free on a glass.
  15. Best 54" Printer For Printing On Wall Fabric (adhesive)

We have an Epson S40 64" and print solely wall graphics (mactac, Avery etc). The prints are dry to touch right away and it doesn't get scratched nor smeared. We outgas it for overnight before laminate though. It's a great machine.
