This x 1000!! We also don;t do wraps for the same reason, there are shops out there that do wraps all day long who can knock out a transit van in a day, and it will look better than my attempt which would take 4 days, In the time it takes me to wrap a car, i could produce 5 times the profit...
We do not flatbed print on acrylic, but we do reverse print on vinyl and apply to second surface quite a bit.
Depending on the overall size of the pieces, I can see why someone would want panels thicker than 0.25", when we do lobby signs over 48" long we use 0.375" or 0.5" to give it enough...
We had a custom program written in filemaker for us to track the status of jobs and to quickly create work orders, it's been working really well for us, definitely better than the old paper copy floating around the shop!

we put this on a 5 gallon bucket and it works great...

If he comes back looking for it, I would return it though...

https://www.homedepot.ca/product/sika-anchorfix-1/1000684214
and it worked very well, scuff the acm with a scotchbrite, clean it with alcohol and use a generous glob of this stuff and you should be fine
Oddly enough, I was having bad banding issues from some dropped nozzles on head 1, so I turned head 1 off and kept printing for a few weeks, then I had a job that needed to be printed quickly and quality wasn't a concern, so I turned head 1 back on and somehow the original issue was gone and it...
