Interesting little machine Wouldnt mind one to go with our RS640/GX500 to print smaller runs/proofs/metallics Although id imagine it would be very slow on metallics seeing how slow the VS machines are

we are very happy with it, bit more than 2 years old with no down time (touch wood!) Only 64" media we use is banner material. Wouldnt mind upgrading from our GX500 cutter to a GX640 so we can cut full width 54" rolls

We use a lot of 3m IJ20 removable, iv removed it after more than a year and it hardly leaves a mark (mostly a minor adhesive line around the edge)

laminate 3m 180 colours with the 3m matt laminate?

We use 3m IJ20 Cheap, prints nice and does not curl if you let it dry for 24hrs before face cutting on graphics with bleed

Ended up being a modified version of Unisect

Hello all Any one got a service manual for Roland GX500? (or related machines eg GX400) Something wrong with the vacuum and would like to go in a little educated :) thanks Luke

I find with our GX500 we need to up the pressure very quickly, generally around 120-150 with clean cut blades (which is lower than what we used with the roland blades) Wonder if its out of calibration or something

We run 50 yard rolls on our RS640 with no problems at all (except you need 2 people to safely load it - heavy stuff!)

Id be making sure that your using profiles that support intelligent pass and that your firmware is up to date
