  1. This is a hard one

Looking at the curves on the B & C, I'm not sure this logo started life as a font. I think someone built this from the ground up.
  2. hp315 printing grays as tan

Yeah, that's pretty weird. Could you export it as a jpg or tiff file? I find pdfs can do weird stuff that I don't understand sometimes when run through a rip engine. Converting it to a raster image always seems to resolve those issues for me.
  3. hp315 printing grays as tan

Sounds like your issue might be possibly related to something else, but when our greys start printing tan (it usually has a bit of a rose/mauve tint) it's always the Lt. Cyan/Lt. Magenta head. We've had them go out before the 1 year mark twice now. We've had to replace that head 3 times in 2 years.
  4. Customer sent me this ad/price

I visited Texas for a few weeks once. Sometimes, to drive from this place in Texas over to that place in Texas, you'll need to pack a suitcase.
  5. Customer sent me this ad/price

Well, I just did what I recommended, and the shipping is free, so I don't know how to approach that. It looks like it's a one time offer unless starting a subscription with the company makes sense for them, maybe tell them to get their one cheap run, and come see you for their next order?
  6. Customer sent me this ad/price

Follow the link like you are going to order some. I bet once you get through the order to the shipping costs, then compare THAT price to your price.
  7. Right to Repair Act

  8. Wrapping a 50ft tall concrete silo. Anyone ever done something similar? Pricing and time?

This was a fun read. I'm glad that spam bot brought this zombie back from the grave.
  9. Laminating tricks to avoid accidents?

Oraguard 210 is an intermediate laminate that will save you some money, but you need to make sure you're also using an intermediate vinyl. You can put a cast laminate on intermediate vinyl without much issue but if you put an intermediate laminate on a cast vinyl, you may have issues down the...

  12. ADA sign source

Not looking for stock per say, just trying to match client's existing signs as close as possible. Thanks though, for the info. I will pass it along to the client in case it matters to them.
  13. ADA sign source

I'll give them a look. Thanks!
  14. ADA sign source

Anyone have any good sources for signs like this? Most of the stock ones I've come across are styrene 6"x9". I've not ordered anything like this previously, other than stock ones from Grimco.
  15. Estimates & Invoices

As I understand it, if it's not wholesale to a retailer for resale or some other tax exempt organization, South Carolina DoR expects to wet their beak on the sale. Labor, shipping, materials doesn't matter, all of it gets taxed so separating line items won't affect the end price on these jobs...
  16. Estimates & Invoices

I was reading another thread the other day and it was mentioned by a couple of people that folks often feel nickel and dimed by line items, and it got me wondering about my practice. Install/builds are a fairly small potion of our business. The vast majority of our clients do their own installs...
  17. Billboard Banner Source

I'm in agreement, but the boss's son of my company was out drinkin' with the boss's son of their company...and here we are. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I will pass the info along.

  19. Billboard Banner Source

Does anyone have a good source for billboard banners? A local company that deals mostly in real estate, but also owns several billboards in the area would like to see about sourcing their prints through us rather than the non-local source they are currently using. It's not something we've delved...
