We have been having a issue recently after reinstall the driver for our Mimaki CG160FX plotter in Signlab 9.1. Signlab is now assigning cutter profile to the few colors on the color palette. We have never had this happen before. Is there an option to override or turn this off in Signlab 9.1.
ok so we haven't had our HP for to long and we are just trying to work out what liquid laminate to use for the inks.... with our old solvent we would use Clear Shield when we need it but i seen that clear shield is not suppose to be use with water based inks.
so what has everyone been using...

just wanting to get some people experiences with printing on phototex material with the laxtex and how it prints, last and any problems you have had?
the suppliers of the HP printers here in Australia know very little about the product

here is a little update on a Stress Test we have been doing here. 18months ago we printed up a colour chart on 3M IJ40 and LG ld3950g. both these we laid on a sheet of signwhite and placed them on the roof of our workshop here.
over laminate for IJ40 was IJ40-114 and LG over laminate was LP3912g
have a look at this..... might not have to worry so much about the crappy photos supplied by clients for to much longer

hi all i was hoping someone might be able to help us. we have been given some pantone colour codes from a client which Pantone themself have said look to be from one of the old Colour Bridge books. but as these books aren't in production anymore pantone aren't will to convert them to a PMS...
this is one of the many damaged signs around my area after a recent cyclone hit us. for some reason the client would like this one fixed rather quickly as it's getting a little to much attention now
has anyone else been running mimaki's ECO-HS1 inks and found they seem to destroy the heads.
i'm running a JV3 SP and i have been told this issue really only relates to these machines running this ink but the heads of the magenta seems to be wearing out really badly.... we had the head...

what things have you used to clean your print heads.... we were waiting on supplies from our dealer at one stage and we were told to use a petroleum based cleaner. we ended up using some thinners to clean the heads and it worked great but i was wondering if anyone else has had to...
