All the ones I have seen/used have a slicker surface to it that allows the material to slide easier on them. Anyone else have any experience with this?
Not a problem. I have x4 Edge Classics, x2 Edge LE's, x20 Edge 2's. If I get some time in the next couple of days I will compare everything with part numbers and let you know.

Power supply is the same.
Printheads have the same part numbers and are the same.
Motherboard and motors should all be the same except for the foil motor as stated by FunkotronXL above.
Pretty sure the fans both above the head and back vent fan run on 12 volt. But yes you will want to start by checking the fuse by the power switch and then check voltage at the power supply. Check for 120v into power supply and then on output there is multiple voltage. 12v 24v and 5v
