I use Ideogram for idea generation when I'm stuck on a logo. It handles text really well for the most part, and is easy to use. I can then take the best idea and design based off of that in Flexi or Affinity Designer to get it to where it needs to be.

Thanks jdragun & Mantaworld - got that cable replaced, and it was able to read the vinyl immediately. And, I fiddled with the voltage dial on that board and it can read my registration marks again as well. Thanks for the help and for saving me a lot of money!
