This is the solution. Thanks Evan. The EPS had a mask and wouldn't send. I guess the AI imported to flexi with no mask. Solution - right click and 'remove all masks' Thanks again.
I found something that works. If I open the file in Flexi from an AI file the cut shapes appear in PM. If I open the file from an EPS, some shapes are sometimes missing. I was using an EPS.
What type of media to get depends entirely on what you are doing.
I mix up DOL and media somewhat but you should be careful for stuff that has to last. You can get delamination over time if the contraction rates are different. Also, there is no point putting cheap laminate on your wrap film...
I'm using Flexi to print and contour cut two decals that say 'La Luna' on the second decal the contour cut shape on 'Luna' has disappeared. Attached pic shows missing shape in Flexi Production Manager.
I have had this happen three of four times. Like on a sheet of stickers it will drop two...
Looks great! Yes, I am pushing the client toward print media. We have done a few boats for this guy (they build them) and they have always chosen a metallic wrap vinyl. But now they want to get funky!
I have a client that wants to wrap an aluminum fishing boat with Brushed Titanium (no problem), blending (his words) into fish scales...hmmm.
This will be out crashing through the salt chuck so it cant be a bunch of cut vinyl overlays as they will just blow off and choke a sea turtle.
I see...
Yes, this is happening during the last roll or two of material. The lines are not like printer head lines they not parallel with the printer head travel, but slightly random. I put it down to a bad or defective Avery lot, but don't really know.
I wasted a lot of time and ink on HP latex...
I'm further north now in Courtenay. I called the various recycle lines, no one here that I have found takes Polypropylene Code 5 that isn't a food container.
Thanks for everyone's input. I suspect we will likley find a facility that takes the PP5, then probably bails it and sends it...
