    If you are using versaworks, choose density control only in your print settings. Versaworks sucks at printing grays. It's mixing colors to try and make gray instead of only using the black head.

    We have a Roland XC540 and use versaworks to RIP. My Lc and Lm heads are down wile parts are ordered but we can print fine with CMYK only. This is easy to control with vector work. We just make sure all the Cyan and Magenta levels are above 50% and the RIP only calls for heads 1 and 2...
