Hi Subysti. Sounds great!. With the expense of these new it would be worth me taking a punt on it. Happy to pay for postage and a little extra for your time removing from the printer. Do you take paypal?
Feel free to email me direct. Here is my website. www.haysom.co.nz. thanks Simon
Hi Bob. Thanks for the advice. I am getting some marking on the sheets where the roller is missing (I think this is called head strike? Fyi. new to signage, commercial print background). It does help if I print with the head high but this tends not to print as nice.
thanks Simon
All good. I expected you head is stuffed if it's been sitting there for 3 years. I could be interested in purchasing the head if it had been flushed out thoroughly before going in storage, but a bit of a risk. ta Simon
Hi there.
I can't see away of replacing this without pulling the whole machine apart. A major?. See attached photos. As you can see the plastic holder is broken. I tried glueing (It lasted about a week). Any tricks or thoughts much appreciated.
thanks Simon
Hi there.
Any thoughts as to what is causing this. See attached. Mostly magenta but there is some on yellow and cyan.
Old VJ -1324. Head height low. printed on PVC towards the end of a two meter print.
Probably something really obvious, I don't have a huge amount of experience with signage...
Hi Humberto. Yes Genuine Mutoh head and ink. I have just noticed that the ink is way past it's expiry date. (talking years not months) . So going to try some fresh ink. It cant hurt and could potential be an easy fix.
thanks Simon
Thanks Guys. Might be time for a new printer (shame as it was not long ago I put a new head in and has not done a lot of work)
Just wondering why it might have packed in so soon?. Machine is never turned off (regular cleaning cycles) I have recently being putting thick paper through
(rather than...
Hi Umateria
Thanks for the advice. I can't seem to find how to get into the "printhead signals" option but here is a nozzle check. As you can see the cyan print is not good.
ta Simon
Hi Unmateria
Not sure if this is what you mean by a "full nozzle check" see attached. If it is? I can post a higher resolution image if it helps. thanks Simon
Hi there.
Constantly getting a bad test print (on the cyan) but it's not just missing it's also coming out the wrong colour (very dirty cyan). Done endless cleans, Little charge etc..
The things that gets me is it's not consistent. It will come 95% right! last like that for a few prints and...
Hi there.
My old Mutoh is getting a bit long in the tooth. Thinking about an upgrade.
My issue is I don't use it a lot. (but of course when I do I need it to perform well). I realise that solvent printers need to be used. (this could be one of the reason I have quite a few issues with my...
If its a reasonable size job $1000+ I do a quick knock up. (max of 30/45mins). Flick them a pdf (emphasis the fact it's just a concept, NOT finished art). make sure it's fully locked.
Worst case you loose 30/45mins of staff wages time. If your graphic person is any good they can generally wow...
Hi there. I have an old Mutoh 1324 here. (parts machine) I could give you want you want for a good price. The only thing is it might take awhile to get to you (I'm in New Zealand) I don't have a parts book here but if you wanted to send me some photos I'm happy to flick you some firm prices. Ta...
Hi there.
Re: Windows 10 to Mutoh Valuecut. Serial connection on Mutoh to USB on PC.
I have a dodgy USB connection on my Valuecut. (I think someone tripped over the cable) Easy fix I thought :-) switch to serial to USB. not so:-(
So close but so far. See photos one to three. Could it be a...
Thanks for this input. I got the local laminating expert to pop in. It seems it is "mooning" Sticking to the top roller before hitting the nip. I have fixed by putting a little weigh (with my hands)
on the print just before it gets in the nip. The machine should have a long flat bar that helps...
Yes it is straight and flat. I have put sheets through that are not straight and flat and the creasers run in the opposite direction to these ones. thanks.
