You might try a local screen print company. If you need a higher quantity they will do a better job and it should be cheaper.

We had a tech come out and replace ours. scan motor & encoder strip. cost about $900.00 including the install. that was a whole lot cheaper than me trying to do it and then call them. food for thought.

Check to make sure your firmware is up to date. Roland came out with an update I believe last year. that might solve the issue. We have had ours for over 10 years and had an issue when we upgraded the computer it was on and had to reinstall everything from scratch. Hope that helps

Yes, and you will have to go back to reinstall your previous version until rolland has an update, they are a little slow getting updates out.

Tell them to get a proportion scale or if you have one let them borrow it might elimate the problem. simple to use.

find a screen printer close to you, they should run you around $2.80 each. and this way you won't have any shipping cost.

Another thought, in illustrator put the roland cut lines on a different layer - have it the top layer in the file. With versaworks you only need one and you can step it off instead of trying to do so many from illustrator, might give it a try.

Look at the auctions going on, you can get one fairly cheap. Try boggsequipment.com or wirebids.com. They have cutters all the time.

Generic for banners and ARLON Gloss and Matte profiles for the other as we use arlon. They match our colors pretty well.

We have the same machine and when we switched over to the TR2 it does print slower and had the same banding on some material. My suggestion would be to try a different one with generic profiles and see if you still get it. We use Arlon now and haven't had any issues.
