  1. Air Conditioning Solutions

I agree - but I have noticed a reduction in caring about employees and heat vs equipment and heat. Things like most other employees (few thousand) lose all a/c half-an-hour before quitting time... but the machines are allowed to stay 'comfortable'.
  2. Air Conditioning Solutions

I have had good luck using the machines performance specs - dig deep, usually there is a plot of machine effectiveness vs temp vs humidity -- to get our administration to allow heavy AC in our shop - we have over $500k of equipment and we can show that the temp fluctuations reduce the life...

  5. Discussion Who "owns" the artwork? ... a conundrum when AI is involved

and my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I remember it being very thirst quenching! (we did a lot of creative trades in the early years.....paintball, go-karts, motorcycle jacket, beer, food.... everyone used to need graphics - the Mac ruined it.)
  6. Discussion Who "owns" the artwork? ... a conundrum when AI is involved

I originally got into this business with 2 artist friends and we did graphic art advertising - no moneys for presses as broke teenagers. We had a good mentor who had worked for Sachi & Sachi - we basically just absorbed what he taught us. THE ARTWORK BELONGS TO THE ARTIST! Now, the artist...
  7. Does anyone print WHITE ON CLEAR ? ? ?

yes... but better to plot and weed white vinyl, if possible for the artwork.... the negative space will never be as optically clear as the glass (though some come very close.)
  8. Printing Glossy on Matte Black

plot and weed a roll of high-gloss laminate - the gloss/matte is a surface effect, you will not have to print any glossy black.... (the weeding may be a PIA...) (as is covered elsewhere, you can turn a frosted window (matte glass) clear with glossy laminate as well...)

What? I got distracted after 'people'....
  10. Fuzzy/grainy horizontal bands and color seperation a few feet into the beginning of every print hp latex 360 (update)

I know you have looked at printheads - however, I have experienced frustration and what sounds and looks very similar - optimizer print head could be going? maybe something odd like a batch of optimizer that lightly clogs the nozzle and is blasted clear after a few passes? (If the...
  11. make-a-ball .com process?

pad printing has been used for basketballs and is best if you only have to print over 1/3 of the arc (though there are tricks as in any industry...)... pad printing is an offset form of printing that works on uneven surfaces (the pad is analogous to the blanket on an offset press) --- the...
  12. Need Help Inconsistent print

you really don't give too much to work from --- it looks like you may simply have an interference pattern from the spray pattern and the grid/weave of the media.
  13. Can I print multiple print/cut jobs at same time without nesting ?

I have done this .... though I did not find the material savings vis-a-vis the added layout time worth the effort.... I had manually saved an image of the smaller job as a pdf, but with the registration/cutter marks as part of the 'artwork' - I then printed this image with the only "through"...
  14. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Also, my understanding is that this "ms13 gang member" has never been tried or convicted of anything in the USA, and even that he is an "ms13 member" has never been proven in court - it has only been a talking point for the executive branch, no due process of presenting the "evidence" to anyone...
  15. US Tariffs, Sigh!

I agree with what you read and what the Executive's position is - I say let's see how this goes through the courts.
  16. US Tariffs, Sigh!

due process in this case would be to present the evidence to a court - possibly a jury of peers - so the evidence can be properly vetted through checks and balances. If we remove the step of actually proving the evidence we end up with no checks and balances and what is generally considered an...
  17. US Tariffs, Sigh!

.. yes, agreed... but there is still this little thing called "due process" which from what I read, in this case, specifically indicates that the individual should have been before a judge and the order of stay rescinded - then deport him... satisfying the due process clauses in the little...
  18. US Tariffs, Sigh!

SIDE NOTE... anyone think this thread will catch up with the "Boudica........" music videos?
  19. US Tariffs, Sigh!

As has been previously established by SCOTUS, the due process clauses apply to any person on USA's soil - even if they entered illegally - Due process as defined in the 5th and 14th amendments state that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. They...
  20. US Tariffs, Sigh!

deporting a person who already had a court order from a Fed judge that he could not be deported - he was deported without due process - even the Supreme Court agreed 9-0 this act of deportation without due process was absolutely un-constitutional. (and if something is unconstitutional it is...
