I had similar issues and it turns out it was my printer not printing perfectly. Eliminate that possibility first. I would suggest trying to get your test file printed with a different printer and see if that makes a difference. I was pulling what little hair I have left out trying to diagnose...

I order my laminate 1" shorter than my vinyl. That gives me some leeway on drift. Makes laminating much less stressful.

The only time I've ever encountered my Graphtec FC9000 not complete a cut like this is when the outer rollers were too close to the cut. I always make sure to leave 2" of padding to either side of the print and keep the outer rollers around 1/2" from the edge of the vinyl.

I went with the Epson SureColor s80600 (ecosolvent) with white and have been happy with the white printing I've done with it. It's very low maintenance, just needing the white cartridge shaken on a daily basis. It does go through the white ink faster than the other colors for the cleaning...

There are two power cables, one for the printer itself and one for the heater. Both of them need plugged in.

There's no setting to adjust this as far as I know. Is there a reason why you don't use a roll? It seems it would be more efficient and less wasteful.

JBurton does what I do. I have some small squares of matte laminate cut out and waiting to put over registration marks when my FC9000 has trouble reading the marks. I've also used the matte scotch tape with good results as well.

I haven't switched with my s80600 yet, but the training technician told me switching from white to metallic would drain 25% of the metallic ink before I even print anything. I can't verify that from personal experience though.

Is it possible the surface wasn't properly cleaned before the sticker was applied?

Try placing a small piece of matte laminate over the registration marks. That seems to improve my FC9000's ability to recognize the registration marks and bar code.

I leave my s80600 on all the time and always keep the media in it. The roller marks go away and I've never had a problem with them. You can't turn the printer off as it needs to remain on to do the ink cycling and automated cleaning.
