Unfortunately, that was one of the first things I tried after suspecting the printer and it didn't make any difference. Heat or no heat, it still warps.
So I've had my s80600 for about two and a half months now and I'm having a problem. Contour cuts on my Graphtec FC9000-160 are off on my prints. Cuts on the outer edge of the vinyl are dead on, but cuts in the middle are always off about 1/16" and it's a gradual change. I created a 58" wide...
Anyone have any luck with this? I got a new FC9000-160 a month ago and I'm having all kinds of accuracy issues. Using segmented marks, even with a print that's 5' x 3' ends up with cuts that are 1/8" off or so, and with just 4 corner marks on a 5' x 1' print is going off by about 1/16" in the...
The roller is really sticky and when you roll it over something, anything loose like dust or hair sticks to it. You rinse it off with water, let it dry and it's as good as new.
I tend to use my swiffer duster more often because the roller is tedious to use. It will grip and lift your material...
Thanks for the recommendation. I actually have one of those and used it on the vinyl before I laminated. I didn't use it on the maxmetal though. Obviously, I should have!
I have a nice big work table that's about 6' x 3' that I do most of my work on and it's where I use the laminator most of...
I have to apologize. I copied the wrong cable from my order history. When I ordered, I wasn't sure which cable I needed, so I ordered a few different ones. I believe the cable I used was this one:

It seems to be...
My SP-300v has been pretty great. I did have to replace some parts (the flat carriage cable and the pinch rollers), but overall the hardware has been fine. It's learning the nuances regarding settings with various materials and figuring out weeding, laminating and applying techniques that has...
I'm very pleased with the quality I get out of this printer, especially considering how old it is. This particular print was done at 720x720.
I know I could go bigger with seams. I haven't tried that yet though. I'm thinking of doing a wall print for behind the printer as a way to experiment...
So I just wrapped up my first "big" vinyl sign today. I have a Roland SP-300v, so I have a maximum vinyl capacity of 30" and these signs are 28" x 44". I can't go wider with my machine.
I've attached a couple photos and the proof that I sent the customer. I'm hoping to deliver it today so...
I had this exact problem. I could fiddle with it and get it to register properly, but eventually it got so bad it took 10+ attempts. Replacing the cable as Frank suggests here was the solution.
I'm not sure if linking to products is allowed, but googling "flat cable card Roland SP-300...
Hi everyone! I've been lurking a while and decided to make an account and maybe even participate in some conversations. My name is Josh and I purchased a used Roland SP-300v several months back and decided to start a print business. I do a little bit of Etsy, but most of my work has been...
