  1. Graphtec Cut off by .25", Onyx 23 Cut Server

I just checked the outline view and nothing was hiding anywhere. And I've always set my stroke to 1 and never had a problem.
  2. Graphtec Cut off by .25", Onyx 23 Cut Server

I have a large wall graphic that I've printed using Onyx's tiling feature. I started cutting it on my Graphtec FC9000 and the first panel cut perfectly. However, when I went to start cutting the second panel, the cuts were shifted to the right by about 1/4". I checked my arm alignment on the...
  3. Edit Onyx .xml cut files or export as .xml from EnRoute

Unfortunately, Onyx doesn't play well with clipping masks either. I've had this issue before where I tried clipping masks and it ended up creating the cut lines double or tripled in areas. In theory, it should absolutely work. But technology *shrug*
  4. Edit Onyx .xml cut files or export as .xml from EnRoute

It's part of a large tiled wall graphic that's going to be going on different sized walls in several locations. We've got a large swatch laid out that we change the artboard sizes on to customize the print for the different locations.
  5. Edit Onyx .xml cut files or export as .xml from EnRoute

Yeah, it's connected to the pirate hat at the bottom, so it deletes that cut path as well.
  6. Edit Onyx .xml cut files or export as .xml from EnRoute

I'm having an issue with Onyx creating unwanted lines in my cut files. I've spoken with Onyx and they said it's a known bug that just happens sometimes if a cut line extends past the artboard when it's created in illustrator. Due to the complexity and size of this job and the number of times I'm...
  7. Does anyone understand Orafol's numbering system?

We do have the book, but to be honest it makes it more confusing. There are just so many options with very similar names, I can't keep them straight.
  8. Does anyone understand Orafol's numbering system?

Legitimate question: does Orafol's numbering system, specifically for Orajet products (digital media) have any rhyme or reason to it? I can't wrap my head around it. At the moment we use a lot of 3M 40c simply because that's the vinyl our largest client prefers, and so we tend to have it...
  9. Creating complex weeding lines

Awesome, thanks so much for the suggestions!
  10. Creating complex weeding lines

Unfortunately, I can't share the client's assets, thanks tho. Our IT department blocks their website because it's Russian. If this is a viable solution I can call them and see about getting it unblocked however. That's what I'd like to know how to do without having to draw each section between...
  11. Creating complex weeding lines

Unfortunately, this is the third year my company will be doing locations for them and the cut vinyl is the look they want. (or else yes, I agree that would be SO much easier)
  12. Creating complex weeding lines

So one of our biggest clients has this dot pattern that gets put onto the windows at all their locations. Every dot gets cut out individually. One location can have 20+ feet of dots that go onto 8'-10' high windows. I'm trying to find a way to create weeding lines for this behemoth. This is...
  13. What's up with 3M?

I've noticed this recently as well. Weird blotches on 40c that cause me to have to reprint entire wall panels. So annoying.
  14. s80600 / onyx thrive 19 - color shift on reprint

Are you sure that the first print is good? You said you've done this print multiple times before, do you have another sample? Perhaps what you're printing now is "correct" and the previous print is the one that's off?
  15. Printing white under color is muting the color? S80600

I use Onyx Thrive, which I'm guessing is pretty similar. When I go into the print options from my quick sets, I have the option to choose the print order - "Color and Spot" is the one that 'blends' the white with the ink, the other two turn the white into a spot color under or over print. Maybe...
  16. Printing white under color is muting the color? S80600

The S80600 has two options when it comes to white/metallic silver - the ‘traditional’ method of white as a spot layer that can either be on top of or below the color, and a different method where the white is basically ‘mixed in’ with the color. What rip software are you using? There should be a...
