  1. Help! So confused. Need recommendation for CNC Router / Table

When I first started my shop, I bit the bullet and bought a $60,000 Multicam 1000 series 5x10 with 8 tool changer. Lease payments were roughly $1200.00 per month for 5 years with $0.00 buyout. I have never regretted the purchase even though we sold the machine after 7 years and upgraded to...

  7. UV Printing on Fabric

I designed and built them myself. It was a fun project. As for the inks, a wash and dry on high heat takes care of that. Ive been wearing those shirts for years with no issues.
  8. UV Printing on Fabric

I beg to differ. While not the ideal situation, it does work and I have shirts printed on mine that have worn better than direct print. The key to laying the fibers down is pressing them before you print or using dri fit shirts that don't have fibers.

I spent a few days with Bob at his shop a few years ago when vacationing in the Tampa area. Bob invited me out to his shop and we spent the day training his staff on faux finishing techniques. Bob took me out to lunch and later that day we went and played a few games of billiards back at...

  15. Shipped this beauty to NYC today.

The entire project was cut from 1/2" cast clear acrylic. We used a .375 2 flute plexi bit from Onsrud for the rough pass and a .375 polishing but for the finish pass. The spacers between each section were recessed into each 1/2" rib 1/4" deep. We used weld on 16 to attach the spacers. The...

  17. Gluing backlit acrylic letters for a light box.

if you insist on glueing them on, weld on is good, but it takes time to master. There are a few optically clear adhesive tapes that will do the trick also. Typically, we machine a lip and slide through like Keith has pictured. We don't use studs though. We VHB retaining brackets to the back...

  20. Solvent vs Latex.

dont assume latex is cheaper to maintain. I'm on my 3rd Roland eco solvent printer in the last 10 years and I've spent maybe $1000.00 total over those 10 years on maintenance.
