Same here, the guy who does my laminating comes to me all the time and asks "will this cover?"....I'm batting about .945 with calandared, and around .995 with cast.

I like the concept of the apps and website calculators for this. there are other threads about this. I've tried the others (not specifically the above, yet).
I have to say, I have a proof positive system. it works the best for me, every time. specifically on a tight fit eyeballing it. and I'm not in a gambling mood.

The most accurate method: just look at how much you need for the job. The roll is guaranteed to be just too short.
