Suggestions 30" Vinyl

Good Morning,

My supplier just informed me that the Avery MPI 2120 is no longer available in 30" rolls.

Can anybody suggest another high performance matte clear backed calendered vinyl? I just got the 2923 so I can keep working, but it feels a lot different. And I'm not a huge fan of the gray backing.

I do need the vinyl available in 30" rolls.

Thanks.

I can cut down our 60" material which is the similar spec but with the added feature of air-egress liner instead of a smooth liner. We stock and cut in Cleveland, so likely only a day away. We primarily stock 54" so easily could do 27" and I can bring in 60" to cut down to 30" each. Our product is made for us by Drytac and is really, really good film.

Just curious since Drytac is Canadian... are you guys getting charged any tarrifs for bringing it in?

Before you panic check with other supliers, you may find one who carries 30". Also, Grimco lists Avery MPI 2120 as an intermediate vinyl, thay have ORAJET 3651 Intermediate Calendered PVC Film in 30".

Thankfully, no. In all of the insane back-and-forth between the US and Canada, they eventually said that most of the agreement from the original USMCA would stand until it expires next year and these products fell under it. This is for the products made in Toronto.

The products they coat in the UK are just now arriving with an additional 10% which they just started to pass through. This is just the Spot On, WindowTac, and a few other products...but Spot On is a huge mover. Drytac is working on ways to avoid the tariffs on the UK products and I'm hoping they can avoid it moving forward.

The unfortunate and incredibly frustrating part is we stocked up at huge levels to avoid the extra costs only to be overstocked in a down year.

do they still supply 60" rolls? can always get them cut-down.
we have a specialty tapes supplier in our region that cuts-down 48" rolls of double-sided red acrylic tape to 1/4" increments.

They do not. They can cut 54" to 30" and 24" or 2 27" rolls. But in order to get 60" rolls, they needed to order a minimum that was well above what I needed.

I hope that doesn't mean they're going to shut down the UK manufacturing... Been using their adhesives and laminates for the last almost two decades...
