When I began this
sign craft life at the age of 16, (I'm now 52),
I was mentored by a great
sign man.
Frank Job. He was in his very late 60's at the time.
He passed away at 88.
The stories he told were as valuable as the skills
he pounded into my soul.
He was from New Jersey.
The
sign shop he started out at was down the street from a filling station.
Owned by three brothers.
They were quick at pumping gas, checking oil and tire pressure.
They were Peppy... yep Manny, Mo and Jack.
Those brothers.
Give your Grandpa a hug for me.
