"AAS Error" on Roland GR2-640

We've purchased a new VG3-640 Printer and a GR2-640 cutter a little less then half a year ago. We've been getting an "AAS ERROR" every once in a while. It doesn't matter if it is a highly complex print or just simple stickers. The other errors we get are "AAS DETECT FAIL" and "AAS FILE COMMAND ERROR". I am hoping to get some new methods of correcting the issue.

I have done extensive research to find the answers, so I want to list of what I have tried to do.

- Getting media width
- Re-ripping the media in both the VG3-640 printer and the cutter for good measure
- Moving the media clamps around
- Reducing reflective light near the crop marks
- Taking a black sharpie to make the crop marks darker

The method I have personally came up with is to tell my coworker to click print, waiting a second and then press the arrows to interrupt the AAS process. I then move the point of origin back to where the cutting tool is directly above the crop mark. I then press the "On and Off Line" wait a few seconds and it will start detecting after a couple of seconds. this works around 60% of the time.

This list has things we've done that could possibly cause the "AAS Error"
- Getting media width and then moving around the graphics to conserve media (in printer)
- Clicking "Center on the Media" (in printer)
- Changing the original size (in printer)
- Asking the cutter to cut image boundaries
- Using Clip and Tile to create overlap

Do Not Use Center on media

I have the same problem on the same machine with one file in particular at the moment. I've tried all the solutions listed above and still no luck. When I send the file to cut, I don't even have the time to press the arrows between "aas starting" and "aas file command error". I'm using VersaWorx 6.24.2 if that makes any difference...

Has anyone found the reason or solution to this problem?
