Just curious as a Caldera user,
why is the chart considered old?
PMS swatches haven't changed only the process of printing them has along with being removed as one of the standard supplied swatches in illustrator. If you have not done so get a PMS bridge swatch book, good luck

Color matching tables are available from ONYX if you are using their software. I do believe they are licensed by Pantone.

Pantone also publishes color guides (and Pantone Connect software for integration with Adobe Creative Cloud).

Pantone thinks very highly of their products. The cost may be considered high by some, but essential to others. Up to a few years ago Adobe would include Pantone color palettes in their software. They no longer do, and now you must buy a license from Pantone. I recommend their products if Pantone color matching is part of your workflow. Any digital copy will have significant color shifts (highly dependent on monitor and printer calibration) and be useful for only the most casual reference.

I never understood the printable Pantone chart
unless you have gone through calibration with an I1 everybody’s print will look different,
kind of like if everybody’s tape measure was a slightly different length

Point is you can select exactly what you want to come out. It's not meant to give the same file for someone else to print.

If you measure something with your crooked tape measure it will still come out of your machine with the correct output you chose.

Premade reference of what you will get from your machine for sure.
