Baseball scoreboard

Looking for some input from anyone that has produced a manual baseball scoreboard. What material did you use for the sign and then what material for the numbers and how did the numbers attach to the scoreboard. I have many ideas but wanted some other input.

5 foot, it is a little league field and it will be kids and parents tending the scoreboard.

Platform/walkway at 5 feet; scoreboard top line (visitors) within reach of little leaguers on the platform?

I am thinking pressure treated lumber and alumacor. I see the numbers on .040 aluminum with two holes for hanging
