They have specific transfer tape for air release liners - it costs a lot more, and it doesnt work that much better.
We usually just leave a .5" section of vinyl around the graphics, so the transfer tape adheres to that vinyl. That way when installing the customer (Or our installer) Has a perfectly square reference for installing as well.... It's a lot easier than trying to level text when it seems like half the time it's a script font and a pain. It's a small .5" Section...so it peels off easy if the customer squeegees it down, and our installers know not to press it down. With it having an edge for the transfer tape... the transfer tape never falls off the liner. Kind of like below
