I spoke with Casey at length yesterday & again today.

In the end I took his detailed advice on a purchase to resolve an ongoing network file sharing challenge I have been suffering with for some time.

I also spoke about a deal some of you might have seen that he posted yesterday. As it turned out, I had to pass up a great deal on an INFERNO sitting in a box ready to ship out at a deep discount.

It's a screaming deal for someone who crunches large files for large format digital printing, vehicle wrapping or just very intensive high resolution photoshop work, AND will benefit not only from the Vista 64 bit OS, and the fully accessible 8 gigs of Ram... but also the array of four 500GB drives in a RAID 10 configuration.
(forgive me if I misquoted anything, but I just learned about most of this stuff today)

In my case, the network crisis I called Casey to discuss centers around my current workflow of using a NAS drive for 6 different workstations to pull graphics files from & to save files back to after use. I have 3 design stations for myself & 2 FT employees... and I have 3 dedicated production computers for thermal printing, inkjet printing & CNC routing.

For reasons unknown, I have been losing NAS drives pretty frequently. I've been pretty successful with maintaining redundant copies of my data, although I might have lost some valuable data this last time.

Anyway, Casey steered me to a very robust 4TB NAS made by Buffalo, and set up in RAID 10.

I ordered the drive today from Dell.com, & hope it works a lot better than my previous POS drives. Casey has the credentials & testimonials that lend a significant level of credibility to his level of expertise, even before speaking with him. His generosity & knowledgable advice in these last 2 phone calls have made sense of a lot of the mystery for me, in a lot of the tools I rely on each day. That alone was a very valuable contribution I wish to thank him for in this post.

The referral to a high end NAS solution may seem like a simple matter, but the computer specialists I know on this island failed to bring that option to my attention & I feel that I have been suffering along with home-office quality products, while I consider my shop to be a fairly high functioning professional production environment. Now I feel like an important piece of the puzzle has just been identified & that deserves an even bigger thank you, so THANKS CASEY!

I expect I will be in contact with him before too long to get myself a rock solid wrap-savvy system for my ever-growing production needs.. but until then, anyone who hasn't seen his latest $350 price reduction offer... Check it out, since i didn't need the 5 drives, someone else can score bigtime!

I'm glad too.
I'm sure I'm not the only one that has recognized your talents, but I figured I'd try to tell a few folks that you helped me out because I appreciate it.
