Suggestions Biiig decal on the ground

I've just been asked to install a giant "cake paper" on the ground.
It's 16 meters / 53 feet in diameter.
White vinyl with cut holes in it.

I know which material to use but i'm thinking about how to do it best.
My initial thougt is to cut in stripes as in my picture and install from the middle and out.

Am i right in thinking so, or is there a better way?
I havent done something like this in 15 years, so maybe my thinking is too "old school"

I did a 22 panel graphic recently, and that was the consensus. Mine wasn't 53' tall, but you've got a simple graphic so if you need to splice it won't be a big deal.

Yes install just like a dancefloor, you can watch a bunch of dance floor install videos on you tube. Go with a 6 mil vinyl so it does not stretch. The cut holes I would cut them with a perforated cutline pattern and then weed them after installation to avoid needing transfer tape of anything tearing/stretching

Great idea on perf cutting the lacey pattern!

I'd opt to print the pattern unless it's required to be void cut, even then I'd probably print it and trace it out by hand with a knife after install. I feel like my printer would provide more consistent lengths than my plotter at 53' end to end...
I'd also be quick to ask if they have a budget to cover a 5-10k install before worrying about it.

Flatbed cutter would be needed I'd say, risky on a roll cutter but segmented with reg marks should be ok

But if it were simply white, would you figure on running it through the printer just for the reg marks?

Yea id run it through the printer

I'm now thinking that I might just cut the long stretches by hand and only cut the outer line in the plotter. Then I can use the full width of the roll and save some material/money. And then maybe cut the holes in black vinyl and put it on the white.
It's outdoor so it will be a cheaper european version of

Print would be better making the hole pattern the same color as the floor to give the perception of it being plotted give it bleed for your overlap use a wide roller with a broom handle, use air egress vinyl to simplify installation. trim the outside edge to your liking.

But 10 minutes ago the client sent me pictures of cobble stones...

Lol on the cobblestones, that might be an issue. Like you mentioned, if its just white, intall blocks of plain material in bulk and just panel the decorated segments around the outside. Thats how alot of the dance floors are done.

Whoops, Bengt is from Sweden, my assumption stands, just not sure who is ordering it but Sweden's birthday must be coming up, so they need a doily for the plate of meatballs...
