Bringing the head out faster?

When I want to bring the head out further than the home base point for a new base point further up the media, it does this really slow song & dance before actually moving up. Is there a way to get it travelling immediately instead of this time wasting in & out dance?

Not that I am aware of... not specific to the SP540i either.

Sometimes a few seconds seems like a lifetime, but believe me.... your customers can wait a few more minutes.

I noticed mine started to do the same thing after I finally updated VW and the related firmware for the VP540.

Annoying as heck.
