Chisel Prismatic Convexed Lettering Text

Hello,

I'm looking for a tutorial that will show me how to achieve a chiseled or prismatic fill for text in illustrator.

I have a client wanting to go with a hand carved, gold leaf sign.

I'm not finding anything on google on how to achieve this in illustrated to provide a proof.

Messing with the Bevel/Embose feature isn't working

Invest in Alien Skin Eye Candy 3 plug in: Impact has a nice bevel feature. I use it within Corel Photopaint.
