How do you all edit your color profiles?

For example.... downloaded the profile from oracal for the 3165G, want it to go in bi mode....can't quite figure how to do it though...

help?

Media Profiles in RIP softwares are created for a specific set of operational settings, including print resolution (DPI), pass count, inkset, media, printer, and RIP. Changing any one (or more) of these will essentially invalidate the media profile.

A good solutionis to locate profiles that mimic your setup, the best solution is to greate your own custom profiles to your desired specifications.

Changing properties of a profile is going to do more damage than help. Which profile/printer file did you download? I know the profile for 3651 G for our soljet from oracal came in bi directional.

downloaded the one for the valuejet 1204.

using flexiprint.

so if you change the print mode from graphic 3 (which it came in as) to graphic 2 (which is what I usually use), It could change the profile output so the colors you are expecting to get may not happen?

Thanks for the help!

Graphics 3 is a new mode for the 1204, it is doubful that any 'commercial' profiles have been written in that mode yet.

Look on your list, do you have Banner 3 and Banner 4 modes listed?
If not contact your software dealer.

Quality 5 and Graphics 3 were recently added, and there were some versions of Flexi that may have shifted making Graphics 2 read Graphics 3 and shifting every mode down after Quality 4 down one and every mode after Graphics 3 down 2, eliminating Banner 3 and 4 altogether.
