Creating EPS from Corel

Does anyone else have a problem with EPS files from Corel being huge? For example, I just exported this simple graphic. The file ended up being 8.21 MB.

AI files seem to be unpredictable, otherwise I'd use them more. Any thoughts?

Have you zoomed out and made sure nothing is off to the sides??

Yeah, no gradients, bitmaps, fills or anything special. Just vectors.

Computers are crazy beasts sometimes...

uncheck the tiff header option.

I just did a sample and went from 8.15mb to 110k.

Oh, and going to save as for AI files is better than exporting as ai.

What's the difference...? I'm a newb when it comes to corel. What about the difference between eps and ai??

AI could be similar to say, saving as corel (cdr)
its the native save format for illustrator.

some rip programs like ai, some like eps, some take both, etc.

eps is more "standard" than AI, similar to cdr (which is hated amongst some types of printers)
