dimensional letters and set screws

Trying to find a standard size set screw (studs.) to put in the back of these letters to mount them on the wall. We are thinking of going with 1/4 screws (20 threaded) 2inchs long.
The acrylic is 1/2" acrylic.
Any advice?
Thanks!

we just buy aluminum allthread in 10-24 & 1/4-20 from mcmaster-carr/grainger/fastenal, and cut down to size as we need.
I hate doing this, especially for plastic letters where you have to fix the threads. Figuring in labor to cut and clean them has led me to stocking a bag of 2", 4", 6", plus all the loosies from gemini installs.

If you're in a pinch, just buy 10-24 machine screws and cut the heads off. Thread the good end into the letters, the boogered up end goes into the wall.

If you have time, order studs from any sign supplier.

Cutting threaded rod isn't a great approach because other than the two end pieces, you're going to wind up with a bunch of pieces with both ends boogered up and they won't thread into the letters.

While everyone's here, anyone have a good source for precut aluminum standoffs? Reece used to sell gemini ones, but no longer have any options, and gemini used to sell direct, but they no longer sell anything unless its through distributors. I see MBS has machined ones, but they are 3x the cost.
