Displacement map tutors.

can any one point me to some Displacement map tutorials using photoshop.

I have a challenge with a photo and for some reason I cannot get the contrast correct.

Check Youtube. Might want to check your alpha channels and find the one that is the darkest with the most contrast.(darks and lights) You can always manipulate the final version with a blend mode if you're doing a color composite.

Thank you for the replies. I will surely look at those links.

John buttto.. that tut had a hint I forgot about,, the desaturate function..

I tried using the alpha channels to get the best contrast.
Then did the levels to lower the highs and raise the lows but it washes out the details.

I looked at you tube but there are many there with some of no relevance.

So I asked here because some of you already dealt with this for 3D work.
