Do you overlap your printed wallpaper?

I know in tradition wallpaper you always butt the seams,
but we have always done a 1/2" overlap.
Just wondering what process is everyone else uses.

1/2" overlap, then trim down the middle of the overlap and pull out both drops, leaving a perfect butt seam.

I'm having trouble visualizing what you are describing. What exactly are you pulling out?

Arnt you guys worried about the vinyl shrinking over time. Which would show a crack between panels?

You said wallpaper, not vinyl. Phototex same program. Personally, I won't put vinyl on sheetrock period.

Interesting. I would like to hear more about your reasons/experiences regarding this.
Easy, if it is going to be permanent, wallpaper. If not, phototex removes clean and easy. While I am perfectly capable of hanging and finishing sheetrock, it's not my favorite thing to do. While I am sure there are decent wall vinyls to use my experience has been shrinkage, damage, or non-adherence.
