Dry Erase

Has anyone printed on dry erase vinyl with their Mimaki and had good results? We tried it several years ago (can't remember the exact material) and had problems. Thanks!!

We've always used Dry Erase laminate over vinyl. Wypet Lam has been pretty good to us so far. Although, the only problems we have are people using abrasive, heavy cleaners on them, despite our best efforts to warn them against it.

I was looking at the R-Tape dry erase vinyl for digital printing - but it isn't for outdoor use. My rep at Grimco mentioned Vanguard - Vandal Guard laminate - something new that isn't in their current catalog.

Here is what we are trying to make: inserts that go in product stands at a plant nursery. The customer wants signs that say "hold" or "sold" and want to be to write and erase the name of whomever bought a particular lot of plants or landscaping stones - etc. Any other ideas besides dry erase?

If they are going to be on inserts, instead of buying a roll of something you aren't familiar with, you could use cut vinyl that says "hold" on one side, and "sold" on the other. You could even put that on cardstock to save some extra $$ for you and the customer. Also, will save them time having to hand write it every time, just pop it out, flip and re-insert.
