economy hole punch/corner rounder for 040 aluminum

I know what i would prefer but that is out of the question. the sign shop i work at now does not do enough small out the door signage that requires corner rounding and hole punching to get the xpert. or a different pneumatic setup. i have found a suitable corner rounder for $100ish, but have not found a suitable hole punch for 3mm holes that is not a small handheld. i would prefer a similar operation to a standard corner rounder, table top with adjustable registration that can do 040 aluminum or 3mm ACM.

basically the xpert on a dime budget.

i am okay with separate pieces of equipment as it may help with the assembly line.

I have an old Hole Driller. Uses the hollow hole drill bits. They are just a motor with a special chuck for hole drill bits. It is a vertical drill on a slide and you step on a pedal and it comes down and drills! Simple, so they last forever. You should be able to locate one that no one wants any more. Even if 60 years old they should work. Be sure you can still get the bits for it tho. Diff machines used diff style bits.

We modified a Roper Whitney Punch, put it on a base that's adjustable. Not pneumatic but if you make a pshhhhh sound it's kind of the same thing.

its not an xpert. but for a decent corner rounder for magnetics and .040/ACM it should be fine. cant talk my boss into getting it as the work load for that type of signage is not emphasized here yet. I'm use to fastsigns, but this is mostly manufacturing of large signage and so the small stuff is here/there and afterthought. but the xpert is worth it for any signshop that wants to invest.
