Fellers Phone Calls

Fellers fired all the outside reps, people been there 10-18 years and replaced them with people in a call center that don’t know anything past the script they have. Those inside rep have to make 60 phone calls a days to people …. Like all of us. You need help with a question there isn’t anyone there that can help. That what happens when a company is sold to a financial group

I'm pretty sure they're making calls, as the phone's not ringing on their end.
I am assuming that most other shops have also taken their primary business elsewhere due to issues with Fellers over the past few years.
New management is probably instructing them to call every one every week to hopefully increase sales.

No, they hired a whole new call center full of people who replaced all the outside sales reps.

A new (rented) facility at DFW. Management is a group of hot shots from General Formulations along with David Neidel (anyone remember him?)

They've been on a downward spiral for a while now. The mismanagement is mind-blowing.

It's true. One just needs to ask their 3M sales rep how Fellers is doing and they'll tell you. Many things aren't available, pricing all over the place, and can't buy by the foot any longer. I've moved all purchasing to Grimco with NGlantz as my back up now.

So, like another thread, your point is well taken and you've gotten things off your chest. However, why do you think you have the expertise to tell them how to run a business ??
for 20 years, much of my business came from computer networking support for realtors
1 agent was always in the top 3 for the county. people working for him would say that they hated when people said nasty things to them...

he always said. getting a listing takes approx 1000 people telling me to go f**k myself.
so i always try to do 1000 per day, 500 before lunch and 500 after

kind of a reality of sales

Needed to make a payment as I always do online. Could not "see" the invoices. Had to call and was told they started a new system beginning in February and not everything updated correctly in the accounts that access the website. I would check your items that you get special pricing on. We don't buy that much.

I'm pleased to hear from my Feller's sales rep. Or I would be since the last one left. Call me! Things change. They aren't the same Feller's as 20 years ago and that's fine. They still have good inventory and competitive pricing. I can't drive down to the local warehouse and pickup a roll of vinyl or have them cut a banner, but they usually ship overnight. Other companies make banners cheaper. Feller's does other things well. Frank didn't have to ask me if he could sell the business and whoever owns it now is doing a fine job as far as I'm concerned.

Fellers is a shadow of it's former self. They were bought out by a private equity firm.
My rep Stewart Wiley was awesome and they had almost all of my vinyl business, they let him go. He made stuff happen.
My sales rep is unresponsive, generally has minimal product knowledge . He usually does not return voice mails or emails.
Pricing is inconsistent at best. Overall customer service does not exist.
Now they just charged me sales tax on vinyl. I've had a resale on file with them for years... WTF !!
I am moving away from them to other suppliers.

I've tried to work with them , but they just can't get it right and have become more hassle than they are worth.

Who does everyone use for Arlon wrap film and laminate with good service and shipping at competitive pricing?

so I'm stuck in a weird spot. I need to find another supplier like fellars. what we have here is reese supply for my arlon products. Reese only carries arlon slx+ and not slx. and grimco doesn't carry arlon. So i'm dealing with fellars. The other day my outside sales rep called and told me he would have my arlon items in stock in houston for me when I call. I told him about how many rolls i go through each month. So that's a positive.
Today, I called to place an order and it was a new person answering the phone. I could tell because she had a lot of questions and I could tell that she was navigating through screens and such. but she was very professional. so perhaps its a step in the right direction. we are getting more phone calls from fellars. I got a call from an inside sales guy the other day. so they are trying to hold on....

Have you asked if they'd bring it in or special order a roll? Typically something like that, a product line from a manufacturer they already carry, they'll bring in as many rolls as I'll buy and not charge a nonstock item fee. If you are using more than a couple rolls a month, they'd probably stock it.

I haven't asked Reese. Fellars will do it. I'll ask my Reece rep to see if he will do the same thing.
