Flexi8 "Media Feed Calibration" Question.

Hello Folks,

I am working with Flexi-8 - I want to make some adjustmets to the media feed rate on different materials. In the print "driver" options there is a checkbox for "Media feed calibration". In the flexi manual it states selecting this option will "use the value provided to compensate for feed rates to improve quality" - however there is no box to enter a value of any sort? I am unable to figure out where to provide the value? Is there another place in the rip/print dialog where I can manipulate this value?

thanks!

I followed you over here.....

I think that is where the Media type you select comes in. That changes the feed rate so a thicker media like HD banner will feed out more on its own but if you used actual thin media like reg vinyl the feed would be too much and lengthen your image.

You may never find one that is exact and for those jobs I will use the closest and measure a test print of 10" in the feed direction and see how close it is. You don't have to print a entire strip, as you can create a file with 2 squares 10 inches apart. If it is 1/16" short then I just add .0625 to the full size job by just changing the length from the 100% to 100.63% and uncheck the proportional box first. Make sure that is correct with another test print when you need that to be exact.
