Gerber GS15 Plus and SignLab 8 Cut Velocity

James Burke

Being a grandpa is more fun than working
We are having trouble getting the GS15 Plus to cut slow enough for sandblast stencil. Changing the cut velocity numbers in the menu do not affect cut speed (slow or fast)...nothing changes.

Our GS15 uses a different driver, and we can get that one to cut slower or faster.

I'm stumped, and I have to believe it must be something easy.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jim

Clarification: I am using the menu in SignLab. There isn't a speed control on the machine.

I have a suspicion that it has to do with the driver. My older GS15 uses a "GSPGL" driver, and has options in the SignLab menu that the GS15 Plus ("HPGL" driver) does not.

The lowest setting for the GS15 Plus is .3937 inches per second, and that appears to still be too fast.

Is there any way to modify the driver file itself to get it to slow down?

Thanks,

Jim
