Getting Better Control with a Pneumatic Jewelry Engraver

I recently switched from hand gravers to a pneumatic jewelry engraver, and the difference in control is impressive. Fine lines feel smoother, and deep cuts require much less effort. It took a few practice sessions to get comfortable with the air pressure settings, but once adjusted properly, the tool became much easier to handle.

One thing I noticed is that sharp gravers make a huge difference. A dull tip can ruin detail work quickly. I’m mostly using mine for ring patterns and small lettering so far, and the results are cleaner than I expected. Curious what brands and setups other engravers here prefer.
