Gluing Materials Together?

Hi All, First post. Thanks for advice ahead of time.

I want to bond 3mm diebond to 1/2" mdo as kind of high-end sign. Would normally use solvent based contact cement for interior use, but this will be exterior in a high wind location - airport. Anybody use solvent based contact cement outside? Any other suggestions? I am going to shape and paint out edges. Thanks again.

As a giveback, let me offer tip to the best squeegie ever. I use a plastic carpet tucker. Easy to grab from back pocket, 3 1/2" blade, 1 corner square, 1 corner radisued. Mine is covered in felt. $7.50 at HD or Lowes. I love it.

Yes, I understand. I am using the butler finish diebond. Has a great protected horizontal brushed aluminum finish that matches some of the interior finishes. I will check the other finishes to see if they come close. Thanks for the reply, and thanks for the welcome Gino.

gotcha - when I got with a brushed finish, I use wrisco .040 alum. laminated to mdo (sintra, whatever) using macbond IB2107 laminating sheets (17"x22" double-sided tape of sorts)

Yes, that's perfect. Also decided to add some finished pucks with lags so I'll never have to worry about it.

THANKS JHill
