Gradients showing up with white box

I agree with Graphic Extremes: either something in a windows update changed things (check you video card update as well), or a preference was checked/unchecked. Question: what is the hardware makeup of the work computer? Old video card perhaps? I've been getting the "your video hardware is not compatible with this version of Photoshop" for over a year.

A few years ago I was having a weird font issue which was solved by updating the video drivers. Maybe worth a try since it seems like it is that particular machine that it is not displaying correctly on.

How do people read the same posts I am reading from yamaha581 and so grossly misunderstand what is going on? I don't know the answer to his problem, but I completely understand what is happening and what he is trying to deal with.

If this is just a graphics card issue, then saving it and doing a test print would produce a normal print without a white box.. Correct?
Maybe try that to narrow down what the issue is.

Yes, I can print it and it will not print with the box. I did just notice if I take the design and drag it off of the artboard and into the empty gray space in illustrator the box is gone so the box is only showing up when it is on an art board in illustrator.

if you would like send me the file and I will look at it. See what the file does for me
I can but I can almost guarantee it will work fine for you. It works perfectly fine on my MacBook and my other iMac so it has to be something with this computer. I just noticed if I drag the artwork outside of the artboard and into the grey space the box goes away and the image looks fine.

I'm not a Mac user, but it sounds more like a graphics driver issue, try updating or rolling back the driver. Or maybe just change some settings and see if it fixes it?

I use an older Coreldraw and every once in a while I will get the unwanted outline effect. It is a PDF creation anomaly. In Corel if can hand crop the image just inside it's outer edge and that gets rid of the outline.
