And you're welcome to join us next year! The more the merrier. Mom loves to cook and make a presentation of it.

I like making signs
I'm not sure about the rest of you, but today seem especially nostalgic as it has become my turn to do the turkey. It's just the wife and myself today, but Saturday is the "big one" at the inlaws.

I remember snapping this photo of my granny (foreground) and great aunt back in 1979. Gran always did the turkey, and I vividly remember her tiny little hands wrestling a bird that was most-likely over 25% of gran's total body weight....she didn't weigh 80 pounds soaking wet.

Back then, gran was the "apex" generation. But now (some 40+ years later) I assume that role. It seems like you go to bed one night, and then wake up a very much older person.

Anyways, S-101 members, I hope your day is blessed and that you look back on the many fond memories that brought you to this day.

P.S. Does the cabinetry and that old Betty Crocker cookbook in the background trigger any memories?

I see that everyone made the same mistake - and we did as well.

We all forgot the cranberry sauce / gel.

I'm going to open a can of cranberry gel tonight. And have it with pizza !

I didn't forget it. We go full-berry...none of that gelatin stuff. I like it on stuffing. I'll bet it is good on pizza as you suggested.

Mom put cranberries in the stuffing this year. It was yum.
Last year she did a cranberry chutney thing.
