Heads for a colorspan 72uvr?

So, on my first day at my new job, I was informed that the flatbed in the middle of the shop has 16 (or something) print heads to it, and only 1 fired...and it was iffy. I was then told that the techs said it would cost 20grand to replace the heads. Anyone out there know of other options? Anyone have a used machine that they want to part out?

How the heck could a shop let a printer go to the point that only one head was working?

Geez, have they purged them lately? Maybe the machine hasn't been used for awhile. My old 98UVX would miss a bunch of jets on the outer 2 black and yellow heads. A purge or 2 would usually fix them.
