HEALTH INSURANCE!........How I loathe you!

Arial Sucks.
Wanna try refuting any of those CDC numbers with some reliable sources, rather than just Internet heresay? The Centers of Disease Control is a non-partisan entity. And I've seen those same cause of death numbers backed up by other sources. Suicide is a particular stand-out. Us American Idiots are so worried about street crime and murder yet we ignore the fact that 70% of all murders occur between people who know each other and any American is over 3 times more likely to take his own life than be murdered by someone else. In 2014 America's violent crime stats (murder, rape, armed robbery, burglary, etc.) all fell to 50+ year lows. Those rates have not risen much in the 2 years since then. Some claim there is now a war on police. I just laugh at that. Right now it has never been safer to be a cop. Go back to the early 1970's when police officer saftey was a greater nightmare. 3 times as many police were getting killed than now yet today the US has 900,000 police compared to only 400,000 then. The mass media never reports this "good news." Happy stories don't generate ratings and ad dollars.

One of the biggest problems these days is so many Americans just itching to get their anger groove on. There is no shortage of sleazy, disreputable web sites at the ready to pander and lie to anyone wanting to have any ideas of hate, anger or fear confirmed. The more angry and biased someone may be makes it all that much easier to shine them on with lies. It doesn't matter if these are so-called "alt-right" web sites or ones who cater to left-wing points of view. They're all very suspect in the bile they broadcast.

Anyone with half a brain going out of their way to get mad about something owes it to himself to confirm any sensational story with multiple sources. Otherwise they're going to look like a stupid, gullible, crackpot fool. Facebook is just littered with those types these days. Whole bunch of easy to con idiots.

I'm on a tablet right now, I can't copy paste.
Did you even read my thread?
Who told you the CDC is non partisan?????
There's a bridge I'd like to sell you.

I posted a study from HARVARD.
The CDC is not in contention with it, that was obviously just an incomplete list.
Time for you to sleep off the Budweiser. When you sober up, then maybe we can exchange.

I posted what to suggest in a Google. Search.
Do you want me to do everything for you? Go and investigate for yourself.
Your a grown up....... ( I think)
Thank you

This is called Propaganda. It's everywhere, and it's dazzling. The center's for disease control is in partnership with the AMA .
You know the good old ama. There logo is the serpent of Satan on a stick.
They make zillions of dollars drug pushing.
According to Harvard University 128,000 people died from prescription drugs given them. I believe the actual number is many times higher, because this is such big money.

Go and Google the word pharmaceutical . It's a Latin word, and it translates into SORCERY.

Deception is all around, sad to say.
You got to go to multiple sites to find truth
Just type in ....How many people die from prescription drugs.

Next time, give all the facts or maybe just stay out of the way.

Wow, make sure your tin foil hat is on tight....
Bad call:
Tumor formations have been observed in the lungs of rats that inhaled dust containing tin.
The University of Medical Sciences in Iran investigated in vitro effects of several metals, including tin, on sperm creatine kinase.
Reduced sperm metabolism was observed which is believed to be a cause of infertility in men.
Exposure to arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, and tin has been shown to affect the hematological (blood) system.
Tin dust can irritate the skin and delicate tissue, particularly the eyes and respiratory system.
Two studies out of Japan confirmed adverse effects from tin exposure to the lungs, particularly occupational lung disease.
In a study by the Department of Biotechnology and Molecular Biology at Opole University, tin was found to be extremely topic to human embryonic kidney cells.
The nervous system is a target for a number of metals. Aluminum, arsenic, lead, and mercury are known to be incredibly neurotoxic.
Lead and tin are thought to affect energy metabolism and can stall brain function by interfering with neurotransmitters.

Paper hat might be safer

Maybe need a set of living laws like we have driving laws and fine people if they don't obey. Our Auto Insurance is pretty reasonable.

So, you pay cash in full for everything in your life or you do without it? No mortgage? No payment plans of any kind? No credit cards? No car loans? No installment payments for other kinds of insurance?

Its all your choice of course, but I respect it if true in its entirety. There are lots of things in life I can do without and would rather not pay for as I go, but healthcare is not one of them. This is our very existence we're talking about. Some illnesses are not curable without professional diagnosis and treatment.

My close friend is 83. He takes great care of himself. No bad habits, great vegan diet. He helps me in the sign business. He's great for fetching ladders or heavy objects. He can work outside in the heat, 6,7,8 hours without a break of any kind

.He has never taken even an aspirin. He goes to doctors on extremely rare occasion. In his whole life maybe 7 times.
If he gets an infection , he goes for the natural cure.
My point is, we can all have health like this.
Health insurance would drop by leaps and bounds, but this won't happen.

Cheers

Well good on you for working the old man so hard.

Anecdotes are not evidence.

You might want to familiarize yourself with the concept of 'Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc'. Your post being a rather oblique example. For extra credit explore the notions of necessary and sufficient conditions, confirmation vice proof, critical experiment, and falsifiability. Since these things deal with doing science they're doubtless foreign to you and your posse of true believers.

I also consider myself an expert in the medical field because I know of someone who smoked a pack a day and ate mcdonalds 3 times a week until he died at the ripe old age of 98, therefore using the same logic as you, smoking and fast food are the keys to a long life.

Yes and 98.5 percent of people eating fresh fruits and vegetables in 1925 are dead today. I guess that must make me an expert in the medical field as well.

Works for me too. Last year even with, Obamacare I paid out 1300.00 a month for me and my wife! We joined Medishare, a Christian based medical sharing plan, for 2016 and only pay 427.00 a month. Yes there are certain expectations of the member…eat right, exercise, pray for other members etc. but if you're serious about staying well physically and spiritually, you won't mind doing what is expected. Working now to get my weight down to where I'm supposed to be and I'll get my share lowered another 80.00 a month.

I looked into this, and they don't cover any pre-existing conditions, my 4yo has asthma, her inhalers (2 different kinds) can get pricey, as well as unexpected visits to the ER, and Christian Healthcare Ministries, would not cover any of those expenses. I was bummed!

O the evil of Socialism, don't need to take any responsibility for things if someone else pays for it.

Only problem with your opinion is that Canadians actually seem to overwhelmingly agree that access to healthcare is a right not a privilege and happily pay whatever taxes are needed to fund what they deem critical to a healthy, cohesive society.

We've tried the dog eat dog, unfettered capitalism approach for far too long and its eating our collective lunches in more quality of life categories than we care to admit.

So, in another case of the devil being in the details and in pursuit of facts not what people want others to simply accept. I looked at SC's exchange for a couple in their 50's with a combined income under the top limit for receiving a subsidy to offset the premiums and could not find even a GOLD plan with low deductibles and co-pays that cost $1,300 per month after receiving the subsidy. Without knowing your ages and income, its hard to get exact figures, but given SC's place in the national rankings on average income and it being a low wage, right to work for less state, its safe to say you two easily fall below the limit which is quite generous.

You've stated your age several times, so I would only presume you are old enough to remember when it wasn't this way, but yet, it was still a capitalist system. We didn't have all the poachers and needy people years ago. We all [all creeds, colors and levels] took care of our medical problems by going to the doctor for normal treatments. No one ever thought of abusing the hospitals and emergency wards the way they are by the socialist needy people of today and especially the last 25 years. Where at one time, we could all pay for their disgusting habits and soak up their needs, it's become impossible for the small amount of Americans still doing it the way we were taught. We've become overwhelmed with people abusing and using the system for all the wrong reasons...... and then, not paying into it.

So, you want a socialistic sort of healthcare, but what about your auto insurance ?? Should we all pay for you if you wanna drive around drunk, without a license or just recklessly ?? What about your income taxes or food bill or the furniture in your house ?? Are we all to pay for the people who have not done a thing to help themselves ??

I do want to help my fellow Americans who are need in all aspects of their needs, but I want to be the one who decides where and to whom my money helps..... not the US Government. They have proven over the last 50 years, they don't know how and this last batch was the worse.

You.... and others who think we owe the world a living or a way out of fending for themselves are just about the craziest bunch since Gore invented the internet and you believe whatever the internet suggests.
