Help brainstorming some signage solutions for a customer

Hey guys, I have a survey to do just about 1/2 mile up the road Monday on a new place in town. The place is a women's only hair salon and the location isn't really the best.

Right now they have zero signage and vista print business cards (eeeek!)

They are located off a small road that is off a main 4 lane high way but kinda tucked away.

I wanted to brain storm what some solutions to help them create more awareness could be. There isn't a pylon sign display out front of anything for the other places in this little plaza.

Anyone have any ideas as to helping them create more awareness with signage?

I really don't think a overhead sign would help much beings it's not seen until the customer finds out they are there in the first place so that wouldn't be the main concern i wouldn't think.

Thanks!

Tell her to rent the biggest inflatable balloon or whatever she can find and put it up on her roof on the weekends. ( so she can avoid any code enforcement folks ) You can attach a banner on it to help get the shop noticed and remembered in the community.

They're call sign spinners... have her hire one.

If its in a big city some homeless people might do it for a free haircut... But they'll probably just send up stealing the sign.
