Help needed in getting my graphtec ce2000-60 to work through USB

Hey guys I'm trying to setup my Graphtec CE-2000-60 to my laptop and I can't get the laptop to communicate with the CE 2000. I've tried using the serial port converted to USB, but the laptop won't communicate with the cutter.
FYI I'm running windows XP and Flexi 8.

Any help would be great, tips tricks, drivers and so on.
